About Heuer:
Founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland, Heuer quickly established itself as a leader in precision timekeeping. Specializing in chronographs and stopwatches, the brand became known for its groundbreaking innovations, such as the oscillating pinion, patented in 1887, which is still used in modern chronographs today.
Heuer’s close connection with motorsports began in the mid-20th century, when it became the go-to brand for racing enthusiasts. In 1963, Heuer launched the legendary Carrera chronograph, designed specifically for professional drivers, and later introduced other iconic models like the Monaco and Autavia, solidifying its place in racing history.
The Heuer Pasadena is a vintage chronograph introduced in the late 1970s, known for its bold, utilitarian design and association with motorsports. It features a distinctive matte black PVD-coated stainless steel case, giving it a sleek, stealthy look that was ahead of its time. The Pasadena is powered by the automatic Valjoux 7750.
The watch’s dial is black, with matching black subdials and bright orange accents on the chronograph hands, ensuring excellent legibility. Its design is minimalist yet functional, featuring a tachymeter scale around the bezel, essential for timing speed—a nod to its motorsport heritage.
The Heuer Pasadena stands out for its rugged, masculine aesthetic and reliable performance. It represents a unique chapter in Heuer’s history, blending the brand’s passion for racing with the bold trends of 1970s design. Today, it is a coveted piece.
